I am both, a proactive person and procrastinator. When I get home, homework is the first thing that pops into my mind. I know that I should get my homework done soon. Part of me likes to get my work done ahead of time but the other part of me says that homework can be done later. It depends on how much I like the project that I am working on, if i don't like it then I will most likely procrastinate. I always like having my homework done early so I don't need to worry about it but sometimes I forget to do it and end up finishing it the day its due.
The amount of free time depends on how proactive I am because if I have a lot of homework but take a while to finish it then I will have less free time but if I get my homework done, then I will have more free time. I would like to be more productive so I have more free time to do extra-curricular activities.
Something that I would change about my work habit is to not go on my phone while I am working. I always do my homework with my phone by me and I usually get distracted by it. One minute I would be doing my work then next I would be on my phone scrolling through Instagram and would end up not getting my work done. How I will get my work done is by turning off my phone and leaving it somewhere else so I wouldn't be tempted to use it. By doing this, I think I will be more focused on my work and will want to get it done.
