During the making of our music video, each member needed to contribute in some way. All of my group members edited parts of the music video. Lilio put effects, Lele edited some of the scenes, Noa helped make final edit adjustments to the music video and I helpede edit some of the scenes. Every member in my group including me, were apart of the music video and we each did a lip sincing part.

I think that the audience will enjoy Noas "Whatch me whip" dancing in the first part of the music video because its always funny and entertaining watching Noa dance. He did really good with the dancing part and in the end, everyone loved it when the whole class watched out music video.
Our music video showed what I learned this year because of the quality and edits that was in it. We had a lot of fun creating this music video and it was a great experience.
My team for this project is Lilio, Lele and Noa. My favorite song lyrics make me feel entertained because its upbeat and makes me want to listen to it over and over again.

Our team choose to pick the song "Girls just wanna have fun" by Cyndi Lauper. In the beginning of our music video, we will play the chorus of the song "Watch me" by Silento. We chose to use these songs because we thought that it would be fun to have Noa dance to the first 15 seconds of "watch me whip". Then have a recording sound as an effect transition into the song "Girls just wanna have fun".

The visual story that our music video will tell is basically that girls just wanna have fun and that you don't always need boys. In our video, we showed scenes of all of us at the beach having fun and playing around, then in school and took videos of us pushing Noa away.
Our group chose Maceo's story which is about him and two of his teammates Ehu and Seth. They go to a Student Video Competition in Florida. While they are getting ready for the competition, Maceo and Ehu get into a fight and Ehu decides to leave. The purpose for our story is to teach people to never give up and that arguing doesn't solve problems. If you work well with your team then you will get things done faster. Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10320291285223520883noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8838169402494578570.post-50294553506983712862015-04-27T11:34:00.000-07:002015-04-28T12:40:35.092-07:00Our Animation Story

Our focus statement which is "Friend solves conflict" tells our story because Maceo, Seth and Ehu go to Florida for a video competition. Ehu and Maceo get into a fight and Seth helps them stop fighting and solve the problem. The main problem in the story was when 2 of the teammates could not get along and finish work because they would argue. The team is trying to defeat the all time champion from the STN competition so they need to hurry and make their invention better so they can win 1st place.
The lesson that the audience will learn is if you ever get into a fight about something, always remember that arguing will not solve any problem. In our animation movie, Maceo and Ehu get into a fight and Ehu decides to leave Florida and go back home. Then Seth tries to help solve the conflict so that Ehu will change her mind and come back to Florida to help the team. If you use all the time that you have arguing then you will not get things done.
Our team got a lot of the work done when we were working hard and not playing around. We used all of the time Mr. Sanderl could possibly give us to finish our animation movie so we could fix any little mistakes and edit it to make it better. Our worst moments as a team was when we would talk and not finish filming the scenes that needed to be done. My biggest challenge during this Typography project was getting used to all the steps in order to create the final product. I watched the tutorial videos and learned more about the effects you can use to make your image better. Watching the tutorial helped me to understand step-by-step how to create a great overall Typography image.
We took a close up picture of his face and part of his shoulders. for the text, I typed words that described him then turned it into a stamp to add to the image. I used orange, green and purple color for the final effect on the image. My last picture is a portrait of me and this was my favorite out of all the examples I did because it was very fun creating this final image, I love the contrast of colors in my image and even though it was a little difficult during the process of it I am happy with my final image.
HDR uses three photos, taken in different exposures. You can use an image editing software and put the images together to highlight the best parts of the photo. I like HDR Photography because you are able to see the different exposures after taking a picture.
The steps on how to create an HDR image is to take 7 pictures starting at a really low exposure to a high exposure compensation, then go to photoshop and press edit and merge to HDR pro, and upload your pictures. Automatic HDR is different because when you press HDR on a mobile device then you just press on the button and it will take one HDR picture but on a digital camera you can take many HDR pictures at different exposure compensation.
In our G.T. class, we were assigned to do a movie trailer as well as a movie poster. The members of my team were Leleaka Anakalea, Sydney Nice and Wailana Makepa. Our movie trailer is called Letters to John and was about a girl named Andrea, 17 years old who is having a great time during her High School year but then her boyfriend suddenly goes missing for 6 months. Andrea searches for days and is experiencing multiple flashbacks of her love. I contributed to this movie trailer by help filming.

The requirements for this movie trailer project were, it needed to be between a minute and thirty seconds and two minutes and thirty seconds, we needed to include a movie poster, at least five scenes, text layovers, foley effects, dialogue, and voice acting. Our team completed all of the requirements.

During the class critique, our classmates rated our movie trailer on three things, audience, creativity, and requirements. For the "audience" category, most of my classmates voted on satisfactory, "creativity" and "requirements" was above and beyond. I agree with the results because we completed all of the requirements. In the end, I learned that when making a movie trailer you need to be organized, have everything planned out and watch what you have filmed incase yo need to film again.
This project took a while to finish because I had to restart twice. Its a little hard at first but once you get used to doing it then it becomes easier. This project is called book folding which was created by Isaac Salazar and he has been creating them since 2009. Visual Literacy is the ability to interpret the word and present it into the form of an image. This assignment is an example of visual literacy because we folded pages into a word and people can try to figure out the meaning.

I did one book and chose the word "Art" because I love to do different types of artwork and the font matched because its simple. I think that the font made the word Art stand out because the letters are bold and easy to read when you look at it. For the book, I folded about 115 pages.

Overall, I believe that my book turned out pretty good. I had to restart 2 times and on my 3rd try, it finally turned out the way I wanted it to look like. At first, I was a little frustrated because I would forget to mark where I left off. If I were to do this project again, I would chose the word "Create" with a cursive font.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10320291285223520883noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8838169402494578570.post-86680827372171257072014-12-03T13:54:00.002-08:002015-02-04T14:23:54.670-08:00Movie Poster PromoIn G.T. class we were assigned to create a movie trailer and movie poster. We chose to name the movie trailer, "Letters to John" because its about a girl named Andrea and she is stranded in her own perfect world but suddenly, her boyfriend John goes missing. Andrea receives a letter from John saying that he is okay, after that, Andrea decides to write a letters to John to help him with his depression. The production company is called Dreamworks and I added reviews from movie critics to the movie poster. Kerning is used to adjust the spacing between letters. Kerning is very helpful to anything that includes text. If the font of your text make the letters overlap each other, then you can use kerning to space them out.
The layers and effects that I used in my poster had a big impact on my final product. I made the background brighter with a blurred effect. I made the outline of Leleaka and Gabe have an outer glow effect so they would stand out more. For the text in the poster, I chose to go with brown and white because those were the two colors that stood out the most with the blurred background.
When I get home, homework is the first thing that pops into my mind. I know that I should get my homework done soon. Part of me likes to get my work done ahead of time but the other part of me says that homework can be done later. It depends on how much I like the project that I am working on, if i don't like it then I will most likely procrastinate. I always like having my homework done early so I don't need to worry about it but sometimes I forget to do it and end up finishing it the day its due.

The amount of free time depends on how proactive I am because if I have a lot of homework but take a while to finish it then I will have less free time but if I get my homework done, then I will have more free time. I would like to be more productive so I have more free time to do extra-curricular activities.

I always do my homework with my phone by me and I usually get distracted by it. One minute I would be doing my work then next I would be on my phone scrolling through Instagram and would end up not getting my work done. How I will get my work done is by turning off my phone and leaving it somewhere else so I wouldn't be tempted to use it. By doing this, I think I will be more focused on my work and will want to get it done.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10320291285223520883noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8838169402494578570.post-18228933441674113652014-10-30T15:57:00.009-07:002014-12-02T17:13:16.428-08:00Back to SchoolMy favorite moment at Kapa'a Middle School is when I was walking around the school and I saw all of my friends, I missed them because I went to a different school and I haven't really seen them since 6th grade. My biggest challenge is G.T. class because you always need to complete your work on time with good quality and if its late then your grade goes down. I am glad that I was chosen to be apart of G.T but I hope that I a can get all the work done. I am not really familiar with some of the programs that G.T. uses but I will try my best to complete the projects that are assigned.

I will always work hard on my projects even if I think I can't do it or don't have enough time. I will stay on task because if you have the time to work on a project and waste it then you will have less time to complete the project. I won't be disruptive in class because that takes away you and your classmates time to work. I will complete my homework when assigned so I can get a good grade. If there is an assignment due, I will write it down so I will remember to do it.
